Field Day 2021

I’m happy to announce that CVARC will be hosting an in-person field day event this year! We’ll be at the Barre Rec field, 46 Websterville Road. The plan is to run W1BD as a 3A station on emergency power, plus a GOTA station kindly supported by N1LED (LEDdynamics Amateur Radio Club).

Those who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask. If you are unvaccinated, we kindly ask that you wear a mask while attending the event if you cannot keep a 2 meter distance from others.

As always, field day officially starts at 2pm Saturday, fourth full weekend in June (6/26). Setup, for those interested, will begin Friday 6/25 at 2pm at the rec field.

We hope to see you there!

Remote Field Day 2020

Hello all,

As some may know form the discussion last meeting, CVARC is planning to be on the air for ARRL field day this year. In the current global climate and in the face of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, we have chosen to operate remotely, so everyone may remain isolated while still participating in this annual radio tradition. We’ll be using several remote HF transceivers connected to the internet through RCForb, a piece of software from www.remotehams.com

Participation this year will require the use of a computer with a Windows OS. If you are interested in operating, please reach out to one of the CVARC officers and we will help get you set up.
